Welcome! At Southington High School, I serve two roles: -Teacher of AP Psychology (and anything else that needs to be taught) -Social Studies Department Leader
Thus, you can find me at school often!
I live with my boyfriend in New Britain and have taught at SHS for over 25 years. I went to UCONN (Go Huskies!) and earned both my bachelor & masters degrees from the School of Education. In 2012, I attained a third degree in Educational Leadership from CCSU. Favorites include the color purple (if you couldn't already tell), reading both fiction & non-fiction, 80's music, cheerleading and Mexican food! I have two fur-babies named Daisy (she's an English Mastiff) and Jax (he's a Rottie mix).
I became a teacher because teachers were so important in my life. As a USAF military brat, I moved up and down the East Coast during my entire K-12 life. Things constantly changed, but teachers were always there for me, supportive of both my emotional needs and intellectual interests.
I hope you come to enjoy psychology as much as I do this coming school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email (until 11 pm) at any time!
